In 1983 I took the plunge and left a relatively safe job as an assistant bank manager
to set up in business as a freelance photographer. Initially I traded as Alex Munden
Photography and, for a while, somewhat pretentiously as AMP International, but eventually
I decided my name alone was all that was needed. Today, I serve a wide variety of
clients providing press and PR coverage, pack shots, location fashion shoots, pictures
for brochures and annual reports and other corporate services. In addition I offer
a portrait and makeover service, portfolio pictures for models and legal and insurance
services including photographic evidence for personal injury claims and archive pictures
of jewellery and other valuables. Click here for a full list of services.
In the mid-1990s, as the digital revolution grew, I recognised a need to supply clients
with pictures in digital formats for publishing and other purposes and a separate
division, imagineation, was formed to meet that need.
